Dermal fillers require no downtime and are temporary, usually lasting about 6-12 months on average.
Another option is a fat transfer. Fat transfer to the lips involves collecting fat using liposuction from another area in the body to be transferred to the lips as a longer-lasting alternative to lip fillers. This procedure requires a little more downtime than dermal filler injections because of liposuction. A restful weekend is usually enough.
