A More Informed Way to Visualize Your Surgical Outcome

Vectra 3D imaging offers a new way to visualize the results of your procedure. Patient before and after photographic images can give a patient a limited idea of what their procedure can do for them, but with Vectra 3D, the patient can help to better visualize and see what the results will look like on their own body, from every angle. Everything evolves. No more camera film, we have digital snapshots and three-dimensional viewing.

How Does Vectra 3D Imaging Work?

The Vectra 3D imaging system uses a special handheld camera that takes several shots simultaneously at different angles to render a three-dimensional view of the patient. The patient will stand in front of the cameras while the 3D images are taken. Once the 3D model has been produced,

Dr. Berman can input the changes he wants to produce, manipulating the image on the screen to show the expected results of the procedure. The image can also show how the patient’s results will differ based on the surgical techniques they choose. It is an awesome planning tool for complicated cases.

What Are the Benefits of Vectra 3D Imaging?

There are many benefits to using Vectra 3D imaging during the procedure planning process, including:

More Informed Decision Making

It can be used as an outstanding educational tool, enabling Dr. Berman to more clearly present the perceived surgical plan and potential outcomes. Certainly, there is no guarantee that the perceived outcome will be exactly what is demonstrated on the computer 3-D visualization, but properly used, it can help with demonstrating what a realistic result could be.

Having a visual of the expected results helps patients become more informed about their procedure and what they can expect. With 3D imaging, Dr. Berman is able to show the patient, rather than explain to them, the changes he is able to make and the limitations present. This allows for clearer communication and more informed decision-making.

Accurate Body Measurements

Vectra 3D imaging produces incredibly accurate body measurements. This not only helps to produce an accurate visual of the expected results but also helps Dr. Berman make the most effective decisions regarding techniques for the procedure.

Help Choosing Breast Implants

Vectra 3D imaging is especially helpful when it comes to the breast augmentation procedure. With so many implant sizes, shapes, and materials, patients often have a difficult time deciding which implants will give them the results they want. By manipulating the 3D images, Dr. Berman can give patients a visual of how their results will change based on which implants they choose.

Many Other Uses

Vectra 3D imaging with the Vectra 2D system is extremely helpful for other procedures commonly performed by Dr. Berman. This new imaging technique is extremely helpful for Rhinoplasty (nose jobs), face lifting (rhytidectomy), and Otoplasty (ear pinning), to name three. To find out if Vectra 3D imaging can help you visualize your procedure results, contact our office and schedule your consultation with Dr. Berman.
